Found while building our minimal MCP server. In @modelcontextprotocol/sdk 1.32.0 every overload of server.tool() is marked @deprecated in favour of server.registerTool(name, { description, inputSchema }, handler).
Why it matters: most tutorials and many example servers still use the old form. They keep working, but new code should use the config-object form, which also takes an output schema.
What to do: when copying an example, translate server.tool(name, desc, schema, fn) into server.registerTool(name, { description: desc, inputSchema: schema }, fn).
